WHO I AM

I’m Dennis Haarbrink. I live in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, with my wife and two kids.

Back in ’99 I wrote my first "Hello, world!" program in Pascal. While it wasn’t really my thing, it certainly piqued my curiosity for programming. It didn’t take long for me to find PHP. It really felt like coming home, the ease with which you can create things! I loved it right off the bat. That’s when it really came to me: I needed to find me a programming job.

A lot of jobs came and went and, while I still love working with PHP, I broadened my horizons to include the JVM stack and specifically Kotlin.
